Shuttle services per rental company are outside of airport doors to the multiple offsite rental locations across the street.
You can use Waze and Google Maps in Costa. Main roads to and around LC are paved with occasional pot holes. A taller SUV or 4x4 is recommended if you are going to go explore the mountains or less traveled beaches.

Getting There:
From Las Catalinas Website:
When you leave the terminal, take Route 21 to the right. Drive for approximately 35 minutes, until you reach a streetlight in Belén. Take Route 155 to the right, heading toward Huacas, for approximately 25 minutes. Immediately after Huacas, take Route 180 to the right, looking for Brasilito Beach (15 minutes). Once there, look for the signs for Las Catalinas, passing Potrero village (10 minutes). Continue, going up the hill for 5 minutes, and then down the hill. Arrive at the main entrance to Las Catalinas (GPS coordinates: N10 28.965 W85 47.169).

Tip - do some shopping on the way for essentials. Stop at discount Italian store in front of the Do-It Center for wine, liquor, meats/cheeses, snacks. There are also some grocery stores in Huacas, we also like the Surfside Market in surfside. There is a great onsite store Copper and Stone in Las Catalinas, it's just more expensive. However it is a good option for grab and go food, fruit cups, juices, coffees and more.
